For students interested in applying for the upcoming MaMaSELF Masters Programme (September 2018 - July 2020)25.10.2017
Master Erasmus Mundus MaMaSELF is a two-year Masters programme in Materials Science. Scholarships are available for both European students and Non-European students for a joint Masters degree with several mobilities in Europe.
Masters Degree in Materials Science Exploring Large Scale Facilities.
MaMaSELF is a two year full-time Masters programme offering a high level training in Material Science, Physics and Chemistry with a strong relation to Large Scale Facilities.
This Masters programme is the result of the collaboration between five Universities: University Rennes 1, (France, coordinating institution of the program), University of Montpellier (France), Technical University (TUM), Ludwig Maximilian University München (Germany) and University of Torino, (Italy). Thus, MaMaSELF Masters course students have a great opportunity not only to study, but also enjoy their stay and student life in five interesting European cities.
All lectures are delivered in English, and the atmosphere is truly international as academic groups are composed of 2/3 Non-European students and 1/3 European students.
MaMaSELF students are exposed to the programme with 3 key events: integration week at the beginning of the course, a two-week summer-school, and MaMaSELF status meeting organized and held at the top of a mountain in Switzerland with our partner, the PSI Zurich (see website for details).
The student will receive a joint Masters degree related to their two places of study during the programme. Each student will spend one year in their first hosting institution, and the first semester of their second year at the university of their choice. The last semester is dedicated to the Masters thesis and can be spent at a university or Large Scale Facilities, or at partner institutions in USA, Japan, Switzerland, Brazil, India and Russia.
